When I was still younger I played with my friend Bence Meijer, author of Archaic inventions blog http://archaicinventions.blogspot.com (I recommend it) to build a festival with a paper and a pen, then show the results 20 min after. This festival had to reach an unbeatable audience for its content, (quite open for the diversity of music) it had to be dynamic, fun (it is a festival) sometimes gross and subrealistic. Then in the middle of the night between fog and red spotlights, the festival should paralyzed in time by some band that left you in shock.
I gave some names like: White House, Heldon,pink fairies Melted Men, Crank Sturgeon, Mch Band, Plastic People of the Universe, Faust, Alvaro, Sun Ra, Yximallo etc. Far from being our favorite bands, the intention was to create a beautiful festival for everyone, without betraying ourselves. the bands that I like, most of them died, or do not breathe properly, or do not play live, and never played, or together they would make a boring festival.A years later I met Matas Labasauskas and with him I have fulfilled many of my dreams and I think that also him with me, I have traveled and make plans more than with any of my girlfriends of the past.and we have grown together in a strong way, and we still continue.Among our dreams was “Braille satellite”, I never imagined that what I wrote on paper and pen would be fulfilled … and here we have the 4th edition of Braille Satellite.We have not been able to bring sun ra, it may never come for the money we offer, (logical), but maybe is also because they were never here. With our capacity I think we have a incredible festival made by hand, without any economic help, or publicity or anything. made by a lot of Lithuanians friends and volunteers who leave their skin trying to tighten some screw in the High on stage, plus sound technicians, friends and all of them come in exchange to help!Only then we have been able to build something pure and keep it pure is the most difficult job.I hope Braille is never perverted even if we have to sacrifice a lot,Thanks to all the musicians who agree to play here and understand the philosophy of the festival.this is with a lot of love and passion and here is the result:
